Verb (kriya) एक शब्द है जिसका काम noun या फिर pronoun के actions और उनकी स्तिथि को बताने से होता
है ।
अब आगे हम dynamic और stative verb के बारे में जानेंगे.
Dynamic verbs- dynamic का मतलब है गतिशील. इन verbs का मतलब actions से है जिनमें हमारी
physical involvement होती है । जैसे की-
eat, drink, go type, dance, hit, kick etc.
1. Jone is chasing the bus
2. She plays tennis every Sunday.
इन दोनों sentences में chase और play dynamic verbs है.
Stative verbs:
Stative verbs वो verbs हैं जो किसी action को नहीं बल्कि स्तिथि या अवस्था को बताती है. ये कोई action verb
नहीं है. State of being verb को stative verb कहा जाता है । जैसे की-
Emotions:- love, hate, want , need etc.
Thought- know, remember, decide, understand etc.
Possession- own, have, belong
Sense- look, seem, taste, feel, sound and smell.
Example sentences-
1. I love chocolates.
2. I hate my new boss.
3. I really appreciate your efforts.
4. This care belongs to me.
5. That cake looks delicious.
इन सभी sentences में किसी भी action को करने की बात नहीं हो रही बल्कि noun या pronoun की
अवस्था या स्तिथि को बताया गया है ।
Day 3 - Auxiliary verb (verb part 3)

आज हम auxiliary/helping verbs को discuss करेंगे । ये दो तरह की होती हैं-

Primary Auxiliary Verbs Be, Do and Have होती हैं-
Be- Be, is , am, are( present tense or 1 st form)
Was, were (past tense or 2 nd form)
Been (past participle or 3 rd form)
Being (present participle or V+ing form)
Do- Do, Does ( present tense)
Did- (past tense)
Have- Have, Has (Present Tense)
Had- (Past Tense)
Example Sentenses-
1. I am learning English language. इस वाक्य में present की बात हो रही है ।
2. She was baking cookies. यहाँ भूतकाल की बात हो रही है ।
3. She will be sleeping. यहाँ भविष्य की बात हो रही है ।

Day 4 - Transitive and Intransitive Verb

आज हम Transitive and Intransitive Verbs के बारे में जानेंगे. किसी भी तरह के Competitive Exam के लिए इन दोनों
ही verbs को जानना ज़रूरी है ।
Transitive Verbs- these verbs take an object with them or in other words, these words are used with an
object to make a sentence complete and meaningful. These types of verbs give the answers of these
two words- What and Whom.
Transitive Verbs वाक्यों को meaningful बनाने के लिए हमेशा object के साथ use की जाती हैं ।
( buy, invite, like, steal etc.)- These are Transitive Verbs.
1. I like Chocolates. (Like is an Transitive Verb.)
2. He stole my pen. (Stole is an Transitive Verb.)
3. I invited my friends. (Invited is an Transitive Verb.)
Intransitive Verbs- these verbs do not need an object.
Intransitive verbs के बाद कोई भी object nhi aata. (laugh, cry sit,arrive, rise, smile etc.)

Day 5 - Regular and irregular verbs

किसी भी वाक्य की रचना के लिए क्रिया के सभी रूपों का ज्ञान होना ज़रूरी है. किसी भी verb की चार forms होती हैं-Base/ present form, past form, past
participle form, and present participle form. आज के इस lecture में हम regular verbs (नियमित क्रियाएं) and Irregular verbs (अनियमित क्रियाएं)
discuss करेंगे ।
Regular Verbs: इन क्रियाओं की past form और past participle form बनाने के लिए verb की base form में –ed जोड़ा जाता है ।

Day 6 - Finite and non finite verbs - 1

आज हम Finite और Non- Finite verbs के बारे में जानेंगे।
Finite Verbs: - these types of verbs change their forms when there is a change in person or number of the subject
and tense.
Finite verbs main verbs हैं जो किसी वाक्य में subject के पास होती हैं और इन पर subject के person या number और tense का
प्रभाव पड़ता है ।
Example Sentences:-
1. I Like Cooking. (इस वाक्य में I subject है और subject के पास जो (like) verb दी गयी है, वह finite verb है I first
person singular है ।
2. He like cooking. (इस वाक्य में “He” subject है जो third person singular है । Subject में change aaya इसलिए verb
में भी change आया. Likes finite verbs है ।
Day 7 - Finite and non finite verbs part 2

Gerund is a noun that is created by adding “ing” to the base form of the verb. It can replace a noun
either as a subject or an object in a sentence.
कई बार वाक्यों में संघ्या या सर्वनाम की जगह एक verb लगाई जाती है और उस verb के बाद “ing” लगाकर
जो शब्द बनता है वो Gerund है और इस Gerund का प्रयोग Noun की तरह किया जाता है।
Gerund वो “ing” verb forms नहीं हैं जिन्हे आप present या past continuous tense में देखते हैं बल्कि ये वो
verb forms हैं जिनका use एक noun की तरह किया जाता है।

Bake- verb
Baking- Gerund ( Noun)
Study- Verb
Studying- Gerung ( Noun)
Day 8 - Linking verb part 1

Is a verb important? Yes, of course. A verb is the most important part of the speech and the most important part of a sentence. Without a verb, a sentence doesn't make any sense. वैसे तो English Grammar में बहुत सारी verbs है, उन्हीं में से एक है Linking verbs.
Day 9 - Linking verbs part 2

आज हम Linking verbs पर बात करेंगे.Linking verb वो verb है जो subject को predicate से जोड़ती है. Linking verb
subject की अवस्था को बताती है और अगर उस अवस्था में कोई बदलाव आये तो वो भी linking verb ही बताती है ।
Note: सभी stative verbs को linking verbs कहा जा सकता है लेकिन सभी Linking verbs stative verbs नहीं होती ।
