The best thing that we all heard in this atrocious weather is the declaration by our PM regarding the discontinuation of the use of red beacons on so-called VIP vehicles.  This was a crucial step towards ending the 'VIP culture' in the country. किसी गाड़ी  पर लाल बत्ती होने का मतलब हम सभी जानते हैं। ऐसे  vehicles को सड़क पर चलते हुए कुछ privileges and preferences मिलते हैं जो कि एक आम नागरिक को नहीं मिलते । In a way, people are expected to become alerted and 'out of the way' whenever they come near a VIP vehicle with a red beacon. Sometimes I wonder, why the red color is treated with such importance? Well, the possible answer should be that red color stands out and catches your attention immediately. हम सभी जानते हैं की जब भी कोई ज़रूरी जानकारी या चेतावनी को लिखा जाता है, तब ज़्यादातर लाल रंग का ही प्रयोग किया जाता है। पर क्या आप जानते हैं की लाल के अलावा भी कुछ ऐसे रंग हैं जिनका प्रयोग सरकार द्वारा कुछ मत्वपूर्ण announcement या warnings जारी लिए के लिए किया जाता है। Let's learn a thing or two about the uses of other colors for such purposes   आज कल की इस प्रचंड गर्मी को देखते हुए, हमारे लिए ये आवश्यक है कि समय समय पर सरकार द्वारा जारी की गई चेतावनियों (alerts) को सही से समझें। Generally ये weather related alerts रंगों के नाम पर issue किये जाते हैं। आइए इन्हें भी जानें और समझें: RED WEATHER ALERT Red Weather Alert बहुत कम ही issue किये जाते हैं। Red Alert Weather is life threatening as it's issued only in extreme weather conditions. इसका तातपर्य है कि अब कुछ कड़े actions लेने का समय आ गया है और अपने आप को extreme weather से बचाए। के द्वारा आपको यह चेतावनी दी जाती है कि मौसम के impact से बचें, and if possible, then you should leave the area for some time. YELLOW WEATHER ALERT Yellow Weather Alerts का मतलब है कि मौसम के असुविधाजनक होने की बहुत अधिक संभावना है। In other words, Yellow means nuisance weather events that require advance planning and proper execution. Yellow weather alerts सामान्य आबादी के लिए तत्काल खतरा नहीं है, लेकिन वे लोग जो अपने स्थान या गतिविधि के कारण extreme जगह पर है, उनके लिए यह जोखिम भरा हो सकता है। In a way this alert indicates that the weather may change or worsen, leading to disruption of your plans in the next few days.  ORANGE WEATHER ALERT Orange weather alerts का मूल उद्देश्य लोगों को आने वाली harsh weather conditions के बारे में सूचित करना व उन्हें prepared रहने के लिए कहना है। इस alert में खराब मौसम से प्रभावित होने की संभावना है जो आपकी योजनाओं को बाधित कर सकता है और संभवतः यात्रा देरी, सड़क और रेल बंद होने, बिजली के रुकावट और जीवन और संपत्ति के संभावित जोखिम का कारण बन सकता है। GREEN WEATHER  Green weather का अर्थ है कि आपको मौसम के कारण कोई परेशानी का सामना नहीं करना पड़ेगा। Your outdoor plans are safe.
