Today we'll deal with another set of Homophones: RITE-RIGHT English language सीखते समय हमारे सामने अनेको ऐसे शब्द आते हैं जिनकी spelling और pronunciation दोनों ही इतने similar होते हैं कि आप हमेशा उन्हें लेकर confused रहते हैं। इन सभी confuse करने वाले शब्दों कि कई सारी categories हैं जैसे कि Homonyms, Homophone, Homographs, etc. Too many, right? Let's begin. RITE यह एक noun यानी संज्ञा है जिसका अर्थ है  'a formal religious act/ceremony' or 'a social custom/practice'. किसी भी धार्मिक रीती या समाजिक रिवाज़ को 'rite' कहा जाता है। Usage: • Their marriage rites were performed beautifully. • उनकी शादी का संस्कार खूबसूरती से किया गया । • The voodoo princess needed some weird things to perform the rite. • वूडू राजकुमारी को कुछ अजीब चीजों की आवश्यकता थी ताकि वह अनुष्ठान कर सके। • These days, the old rites are not so popular with the new generation. • इन दिनों, पुराने संस्कार नई पीढ़ी में इतने लोकप्रिय नहीं हैं। Rite शब्द से related एक famous phrase है: Rite of passage It's a ceremony or event marking an important stage in someone's life, especially birth, the transition from childhood to adulthood, marriage, and death. (किसी के जीवन की संक्रमणकालीन अवधि में घटी एक महत्वपूर्ण घटना/ यादगार उत्सव )

RIGHT Right का इस्तेमाल अलग-अलग परिस्थितियों में कुछ इस प्रकार किया जाता है:

  As a noun ( संज्ञा की तरह ) Something which is morally correct = जो नैतिक रूप से सही है • It's time that we all start respecting the equal rights of women. • अब समय है कि हम सभी को महिलाओं के समान अधिकारों का सम्मान करना चाहिए। The right-hand direction = दाहिने-सीधे हाथ की दिशा • She seated me on her right side. • उसने मुझे उसके दायीं तरफ बिठाया। A moral or legal entitlement to have or do something = हक़ • She had every right to be angry. • उसे गुस्से होने का पूरा अधिकार था।   As a verb ( क्रिया के रूप में ) To restore to a normal or correct state = एक सामान्य या सही स्थिति में वापस लाना • Demonetization proved to be an important step towards righting the country's economy. • विमुद्रीकरण देश की अर्थव्यवस्था को ठीक करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम साबित हुआ।   As an adjective ( विशेषण के तौर पर ) A correct and true fact = सही • I set the clock to the right time. • मैंने घड़ी को सही समय पर सेट कर दिया। Morally good and acceptable = एक उचित और सच्चा तथ्य / नैतिक रूप से अच्छा और स्वीकार्य • I hope you are doing the right thing. • मुझे आशा है कि आप सही काम कर रहे हैं।   As an adverb ( क्रिया विशेषण की तरह ) To the furthest most extent = अधिकतम सीमा तक • These days, women right throughout the country feel unsafe. • इन दिनों, देश भर में महिलाओं असुरक्षित महसूस करती हैं। Immediately = तुरंत • I'll be right back. • मैं अभी वापस आ जाऊंगा। I hope the confusion got cleared.
