I can easily say that too MANY people have too MUCH confusion when it comes to QUANTIFIERS. (PUN INTENDED) Quantifiers यानी परिमानक शब्द या वाक्यांश हमे किसी वस्तु की संख्या या मात्रा की जानकारी देते हैं। "QUANTIFIER= words that tell you about the quantity" वाक्य में quantifiers का प्रयोग ज़्यादातर noun(संज्ञा) या noun phrase(संज्ञा वाक्यांश) से पहले किया जाता है। We use quantifiers when we want to give information about the amount/ magnitude/ frequency/ count/ number of something. Also, quantifiers are the words that answer the questions: how much or how many? Countable nouns या 'गणनीय संघ्या' उन्हें कहा जाता है जिनकी गिनती अंकों में करी जा सके। Example: People, books, paintings, restaurants, etc. Everybody/ Everyone (हर कोई/ प्रत्येक व्यक्ति) • Everyone/Everybody wants to meet her. • हर कोई उससे मिलना चाहता है। No one/ Nobody (कोई नहीं/ एक भी नहीं) • Nobody/ No one attended the party. • पार्टी में कोई भी शामिल नहीं हुआ। NOTE: Everyone, Everybody, No one, Nobody- ये सभी शब्द दर्शाते हैं की बात एक या ज़्यादा व्यक्तियों के बारे में है जो की गणनीय संख्या की में शामिल है। A number of/ A large number of (बहुत सारे/ कई) • There are a number of reasons for his failure.(Reasons = countable) • उसकी असफलता के कई कारण हैं। Many (अनेक/ बहुत से) • Many people came to watch the movie.(People = countable) • बहुत से लोग मूवी देखने आए थे। Several (कई/अनेक) • He has written several books in the last two years. • उन्होंने पिछले दो वर्षों में कई/अनेकों पुस्तकें लिखी हैं। Few OR A few (कुछ/ थोड़ा/ कम) • I have few questions to ask you. • मेरे पास आपसे पूछने के लिए कुछ सवाल हैं। USED WITH UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS Answers the question: How much? Uncountable nouns यानी अगणनीय संघ्या वे हैं जिन्हे अंकों में नहीं गिना जा सकता, इन्हे हमेशा measure किया जाता है। Example: Milk, Coffee, Bread, Cake, etc. Much (बहुत/ अधिक) • I don't have much time.(Time = uncountable) • मेरे पास बहुत समय नहीं है। A large quantity of OR a large amount of (बड़ी मात्रा में ) • A large quantity of milk is used to make the sweets.(Milk = uncountable) • मिठाई बनाने के लिए एक बड़ी मात्रा में दूध का उपयोग किया जाता है। Little /A little (थोड़ा/अलप मात्रा) • I need little/ a little help. • मुझे थोड़ी सहायता की जरूरत है। A bit of (थोड़ा सा ) • It takes a bit of time to do this work. • यह काम करने में थोड़ा समय लगता है। USED WITH BOTH कुछ quantifiers का प्रयोग situation के according दोनों तरह कि संघ्या के साथ किया जा सकता है। All (सभी/ सब/ सारा) Countable All the students went for the picnic.(सभी छात्र पिकनिक के लिए गए) Uncountable All the money was stolen.(सारे पैसे चोरी हो गए) Some (थोड़ा सा/ चंद/ कुछ) Countable Some people are hard to understand.(कुछ लोगों को समझना मुश्किल है) Uncountable I need some time to finish this report.(मुझे इस रिपोर्ट को समाप्त करने के लिए कुछ समय चाहिए) More (अधिक/ज़्यादा/और) C We need more candles for the birthday cake.(हमें जन्मदिन के केक के लिए और मोमबत्तियों की ज़रूरत है) U Give me more information on the matter.(इस मामले पर मुझे अधिक जानकारी दें) Less (कम/थोड़ा) C There were less people in the office today.(आज कार्यालय में कम लोग थे) U  Put less butter on my toast.(मेरे टोस्ट पर कम मक्खन लगाएं ) A lot of / Lots of / Plenty of (बहुत सारा/ अनेकों) C There are lots of/ plenty of books in the library.(पुस्तकालय में बहुत सारी/ अनेकों पुस्तकें हैं) U We should drink lots of water during summer season.(गर्मियों के मौसम के दौरान हमें बहुत पानी पीना चाहिए) Enough (पर्याप्त/ काफी/ उचित मात्रा में) C You have taken enough pictures.(तुमने काफी तसवीरें ली हैं) U There is not enough cheese to make the dish.(पकवान बनाने के लिए पर्याप्त चीज़ नहीं है) Well, that's pretty much information about Quantifiers.
