Prepositions यूँ तो बहुत ही basic व आसान शब्द होते हैं परन्तु इनका प्रयोग करना कभी-कभी थोड़ा tricky हो सकता है और अक्सर हम जाने अनजाने गलती कर ही बैठते हैं।
Well, today we'll try to overcome that.
हमने last ब्लॉग में कुछ basic prepositions of place - IN, AT and ON के बारे में सीखा।

Let's dig a little deeper and learn some more prepositions that are used to denote the place or location of an object.
Just to recall,
'Preposotions of Place' का अर्थ है ऐसे शब्द जो हमे किसी संज्ञा के स्थान या जगह की जानकारी देते हैं।
इनका वाक्य में प्रयोग ज़्यादातर noun से पहले किया जाता है यानी,
they are mostly PRE POSITIONED
Let's begin.
OUTSIDE = किसी भी प्रकार की सीमा से बाहर का स्थान (anything beyond a confined space)
• Please wait outside the room.(कृपया कमरे के बाहर प्रतीक्षा करें)
• He was sitting at a table outside the café. (वह कैफे के बाहर एक मेज पर बैठा था)
INSIDE = सीमा के अंदर/भीतर (in a room or any such confined place)
• You can't go inside the building.(आप इमारत के अंदर नहीं जा सकते)
• He refused to come inside the class. (उसने कक्षा के भीतर आने से मना कर दिया)
OR
किसी वस्तु के अंदर (enclosed in a container or space)
• Your watch is inside that box. (आपकी घड़ी उस डिब्बे के अंदर है)
• I have kept the money inside an envelope.(मैंने पैसों को एक लिफाफे के अंदर रखा है)
ABOVE = से ऊपर (ऊपरी स्तर पर होना मगर सतह से संपर्क में आए बगैर)
• The aeroplane was flying above the clouds. (हवाई जहाज बादलों से ऊपर उड़ रहा था)
• The picture hangs above my bed. (तस्वीर मेरे बिस्तर से ऊपर टंगी हुई है)
UNDER = किसी चीज़ के ठीक नीचे ढका, छुपा या रखा हुआ
• We took shelter under a tree. (हमने एक पेड़ के नीचे आश्रय लिया)
• I found a letter under the pile of books. (मुझे पुस्तकों के ढेर के नीचे एक पत्र मिला।)
BELOW = एक वस्तु का दूसरे की तुलना में निचले स्तर पर होना
• The ship was found 900 feet below sea level. (जहाज समुद्र के स्तर से 900 फुट नीचे पाया गया)
• Please do not write anything below this line. (कृपया इस रेखा के नीचे कुछ मत लिखें)
BETWEEN = दो स्थानों, लोगों या वस्तुओं के बीच की जगह
• My school lies between the park and the bank. (मेरा स्कूल पार्क और बैंक के बीच स्थित है)
• This secret should remain between you and me only. (यह रहस्य आपके और मेरे बीच ही रहना चाहिए)
AMONG = दो से ज़्यादा के बीच होना
• The prize money will be divided among 4 members of the team. (पुरस्कार राशि टीम के 4 सदस्यों के बीच विभाजित की जाएगी)
• She is the most intelligent among all the students. (वह सभी छात्रों के बीच सबसे बुद्धिमान है)
BESIDE/ NEAR/ NEXT TO/ CLOSE TO = बगल में, पास में या करीब होना
• She is standing beside a bus stop. (वह बस स्टॉप के पास खड़ी है)
• I'll park my car next to that tree. (मैं उस पेड़ के पास अपनी कार पार्क करूँगा)
BEHIND = किसी के पीछे छुपा या रखा हुआ
• The cat is hidden behind the door. (बिल्ली दरवाज़े के पीछे छिपी हुई है)
• My house is behind the supermarket. (मेरा घर सुपरमार्केट के पीछे है)
IN FRONT OF = सामने होना
• There is a lake in front of the park. (पार्क के सामने एक झील है)
• Do not sit in front of the TV. (टीवी के सामने मत बैठो)
