Commonly Mispronounced Modern Color Names


I hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed the colorful festivities around you. It's hard to imagine our lives in black and white. रंगों की हमारी दुनिया में एक अलग ही जगह है। Colors make everything look vibrant and beautiful. Now, we are all familiar with the rainbow colors, the VIBGYOR which are: Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red. पर रंगों की सीमा सिर्फ सतरंगी rainbow तक ही नही है। You must have encountered some weird and new color names either in a make-up shop or in a designer boutique. इन सभी modern colors के नाम pronounce करने में कभी कभार tricky हो सकते हैं। Well, let's hope not anymore. आइये आज सीखते हैं कुछ नए और अलग colors के नाम: FUCHSIA ORIGIN: Modern Latin It's a bright, purplish-red color. It's inspired by the evening primrose flower having different shades of purple and pink. FUCHSIA-min   TURQUOISE ORIGIN: Old French greenish blue or bluish green color that comes from the semi-precious stone. TURQUOISE-min BEIGE ORIGIN: French A very light brown or light grey with a brownish tinge. BEIGE-min CRIMSON ORIGIN: Old Spanish or French It's a rich deep red color that has a hint of purple. crimson-min CYAN ORIGIN: Greek Again, it's a shade of blue color with a hint of green.  CYAN-min MAROON ORIGIN: Greek A dark brownish-red color in which brown overpowers the shades of red. MAROON-min DANDELION ORIGIN: Medieval English A shade of yellow color that is taken from the daisy flower with the same name. DANDELION-min EMERALD ORIGIN: Old French/Latin A bright green colour inspired from the precious stone Emerald. EMERALD-min MAUVE ORIGIN: French pale bluish purple colour.  mauve-min AQUAMARINE ORIGIN: Latin An oceanic shade of blue with a mixture of green and blue. Aquamarine is also a gemstone.
