In the process of learning a new language, there are a number of mistakes that we do and some of them are so common that almost everybody stumbles upon them.
कभी कभार English language का प्रयोग करते समय हम कुछ ऐसी आम व छोटी-छोटी गलतियां कर बैठते हैं जिन पर हमारा ध्यान भी नहीं जाता।
परन्तु, यदि आप अपनी English communication skills को impressive बनाना चाहते हैं तो यह ज़रूरी है की आप इन छोटी मगर important common mistakes को avoid करें।
English बोलते समय इन बातों का ध्यान रखें:
CALLED AS or CALLED
अक्सर लोग CALLED और CALLED AS को interchangeably यानी एक दूसरे के स्थान पर प्रयोग कर लेते हैं जो कि सही इंग्लिश नहीं है।
Called is used to address someone.
For example:

Called के स्थान पर Called As का प्रयोग करना अनुचित है।
इसकी जगह Known as का प्रयोग किया जा सकता है।
Correct Sachin is known as the God of Cricket.(सचिन क्रिकेट के भगवान के रूप में जाना जाता है।)
MANY A TIMES or MANY A TIME
Many a times गलत English है क्यूंकि "a" एक singular indefinite article है जबकि "times" plural है, इसलिए दोनों का प्रयोग एक साथ नहीं हो सकता ।
हो सकता है हम बोलचाल की शैली (colloquialism) में इसका प्रयोग करते हो या हमने ये शब्द सुना हो, फिर भी preferable है कि इसका प्रयोग ना करें।
However, Many a time (जिसका अर्थ है often; frequently - अक्सर) और Many times (बहुत बार) सही English है।
Incorrect Many a times we fail to realise other people's difficulties.
Correct Many a time/Many times we fail to realise other people's difficulties.(कई बार हम अन्य लोगों की कठिनाइयों को महसूस करने में विफल होते हैं।)
AN YEAR or A YEAR
यूँ तो "y" एक semi-vowel है ( that means when it comes to sound/pronunciation, the letter "y" can function either as a vowel or a consonant ), पर year शब्द के उच्चारण में एक consonant का sound आता है, ना कि vowel sound.
इसलिए यहाँ 'an year' की जगह 'a year' का प्रयोग करना सही है।
Incorrect It took me an year to complete the diploma.
Correct It took me a year to complete the diploma.(मुझे डिप्लोमा पूरा करने के लिए एक साल का वक्त लगा।)
REPLY BACK or REPLY
Reply के बाद "back” का प्रयोग अनावश्यक है क्यूंकि “reply” का अर्थ ही वापस उत्तर देना होता है।
It already conveys the idea of getting back to someone.
Incorrect I will reply back to you after the meeting.
Correct I will reply to you after the meeting.(मै आपको मीटिंग के बाद उत्तर दूंगा।)
